In 1972 I walked out of a bar, and the next day I set out on the path that has taken me into healthcare and teaching, two fields that I would have never--and still would never have--chosen for myself.
But now that I am here, today, I cannot imagined ever doing anything else, for the two have allowed me to do everything I ever-- and also never--thought possible.
Science, art, construction, manual labor, reading, talking to anyone, watching and listening to everyone.
